A fire on February 11, 1922 destroyed much of the wooden interior of F. L. Carroll Chapel and Library. Most of the collections were saved, and between 1922 and 1924 the building was rebuilt. The chapel was never reconstructed, but the library continued to house collections including the Browning collection, the Law School library, and the Texas Collection.
