Stilwell’s board of trustees in 1977 featured Dr. Kate Bell as their president, holding the gavel. Bell was an administrator for Houston ISD for 47 years, and she also served for a time as president of the Texas State Teachers Association. Many others like her, who spent their careers as educators, have deeply invested in Stilwell.
