Mary Stringer, a friend of Nell Pape, remembers seeing Mrs. Pape in historical costume at the Earle-Harrison House greeting visitors. Pape’s passion for historical preservation was such that she even wanted visitors to experience what the attire of those inside might have looked like in the house’s early days.
