Following the trip to Paris, the delegation reflected on what it meant for a community to come together in support of POWs abroad. They kept coming back to one word that encompassed their experiences: freedom. With that word in mind, they worked on memorializing the meaning of freedom and decided a fountain would exhibit their ideas well.
