Leon Jaworski and his partner Tom Scott opened their law offices in the high-rise Professional Building (now Waco ISD) on Franklin Avenue in 1929, soon after the completion of its construction. A local newspaper included a directory of all the businesses the new building housed, including Scott & Jaworski. The location’s prominence implied the aspirations the young lawyers had for their firm.
