The Electric Slide

Bob Dylan’s 1965 masterpiece, Bringing It All Back Home, marked a major musical transition for the singer from acoustic-folk musician to rock-and-roll legend. In a 1974 interview for Rolling Stone, Dylan named Wilson as a friend and one “of the producers that meant the most to me.” Their collegiality shows on outtakes from the album including a moment when Dylan bungles a take of “Bob Dylan’s 115th Dream,” and you can hear Wilson laugh enthusiastically amidst asking Dylan to “try it again.”
