The Tom Padgitt Company was an internationally acclaimed saddle manufacturer. With the rise of the automobile after World War I, the company suffered, resulting in R. T. Dennis and Co. purchasing their building. The R. T. Dennis building was located directly behind the Padgitt building, seen in the background of this picture.
