Elvis liked to change out of his army fatigues when he arrived at the Fadals’. Sometimes he would even borrow clothes from Eddie. Elvis said of the Fadals, “The Fadals have given me a loving home away from home, and they are just like my own family.” According the Janice, Elvis even asked Eddie to manage his career at one point, but Eddie declined. The family wonders if Elvis would have been better off with Eddie instead of Colonol Parker, and Janice Fadal even wonders if he would not have struggled with prescription drugs and lived longer.
