Rich Field pilots once wrote a poem for Texas: “When we came down to Texas, a year ago today, they said that in November, the days resembled May. In May the heat and sunshine, gave vision to our fears, of things we might encounter, when days had turned to years. But now in wet November, this have we learned anew, if in May you stick to Texas, in November it sticks to you!”
