Fifth Street Methodist Church (c. 1910)

This postcard shows what the church looked like before a 1920 renovation that brought about a remodeled sanctuary and a new Sunday school building next door, which included facilities for a gymnasium, a stage, and “curtains and equipment necessary for all recreational activities,” according to a Waco News-Tribune article.Around the same time as the renovation, the congregation renamed the church to First Methodist Church.
