Constructed in 1876, Fifth Street Methodist stood as one of the first brick-and-mortar churches in downtown Waco. Although the building housing Methodist worshippers through the years has changed, First Methodist’s congregation has been meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the Waco community for over 160 years.
