The Farmers’ Home Improvement Society (FIS) founded the Agricultural School in Wolfe City, Texas, in 1906. The school educated students on the farming techniques and practices of FIS. The school also promoted farming as the best occupation and operated a ninety-acre farm that doubled as a source of income and a classroom to practice proper farming techniques. The school closed in 1947 due to a lack of funding.
