Vivienne Lucille Malone took piano lessons from Estelle Maxey, the voice behind the successful Great Depression-era touring band called Stella and Her Boys. At the recital, Malone played such varied musical selections as Bach's Fugue No. 5, Thompson's "I Love to Tell the Story," and Chopin's Prelude Op. 28, No. 22.
